Active voltage conditioner AVC-RTS

Sinexcel AVC- RTS (Active Voltage Conditioner Ride-Through Storage) is an Off-Line unit specifically designed to fast and accurate correct voltage sags and swells with 99% efficiency as well as providing continuous voltage regulation.

According to IEEE standards, a voltage sag (also known as a voltage dip) is defined as a variation of the RMS (Root Mean Square) value of the voltage from nominal voltage for a time greater than 0.5 cycles of the power frequency but less than or equal to 1 minute.

The voltage sag has been identified by many international research institutions as the most common event in power systems.

The Sinexcel AVC-RTS active voltage conditioner range has a modular design and is available with system power of 50 kVA up to 2400 kVA and various voltage levels. For 50/60/100 kVA module, maintenance bypass is a standard configuration while for larger power modules, maintenance bypass is optional.

The AVC-RTS active voltage conditioner is installed between the load and power supply, in the event of an outage, voltage drop or swell, the AVC-RTS will transfer the load to the backup energy storage system, powered by super capacitors to ensure the sensitive loads are well protected.

Even when the voltage drops to zero, the AVC-RTS can still support the loads of 100% rated voltage within 2 ms typical fast response. The voltage support of the AVC-RTS completely avoids the harm to the load that the voltage sag might cause.

When the grid voltage returns to the normal value, the AVC-RTS active voltage conditioner stops working and the output voltage returns to the grid voltage level, while the super capacitors begin to charge in preparation for the next voltage sag.
